A little bit about...
I'm Sarah, and I’m lucky enough to call myself the owner of The Petal Shop.
Based in my home studio here in Lymm, for the last 8 years I have been busily creating a whole array of florals for weddings and events, as well as hosting workshops and creating individual bespoke seasonal pieces.
Perhaps the best way to describe my floral style is ‘unstructured’. My floral designs have to flow, but in their own natural right. Texture, movement and a reflection of the natural beauty of flowers are at the centre of my creations. As is our beautiful planet and nature. Using fresh and dried pieces, I strive to use locally sourced florals where possible, and reusable, biodegradable or recyclable materials to minimise the use of plastics. I am constantly developing new ways to ensure my floristry works with the planet.

It’s British Flowers Week this week, and I just had to share the gorgeousness from last weekend.
I’m so focused on using as many locally grown flowers as possible, whilst ensuring your florals are absolutely perfect for you. Not only is it sustainable and environmentally friendly, it also heightens the connection and meaning behind the flowers, which is such an integral part of a wedding (I know I’m a tad biased but it’s true!)

That was QUITE the morning set up for Greta & Will today in the stunning rolling Cheshire countryside of Will’s parents home.
An absolute treat to flower up this incredible space from the exceptional @thecanvastentco - those wooden pillars were a dream (genuinely love a ladder challenge ☺️ 🪜🌿)
Gorgeous #playablancaroses took the lead, with the fluffiest white peonies and soft foliage, and all other seasonal soft secondary florals locally Cheshire grown and smelling incredible (@smellaniesgardenflowers the orange blossom was unreal thank you 👌)

Leah wanted vibrant, bright, beautiful Cheshire spring florals and sunflowers (yes I found some British grown!) to match her gorgeous personality (Lean shines bright the second you meet her 💛)
What an absolute honour and a privilege to be a part of their day, the meaning behind those florals being such a key part, especially as most were local grown Cheshire blooms.

I think it has to be my favourite month of all. The promise of new life, spring finally rearing its beautiful head. I obsessively look everywhere for all the new bright green buds coming through, and revel in the fresh sunshine after a long cold dark winter.

After a jam-packed, fun-filled half term with my family (birthdays, trips away, non-stop activities!) it is an absolute JOY to get back to all your enquiries today - sincere apologies for the delay though.

To be honest I could have put anything in that ceremony room and it would have still felt amazing.
For Izzy & Max it was the prettiest pinks, peaches and whites, starring orchids and roses, the broken arch providing the perfect focal point to the most elegant barn I have ever seen.

Ohhh Saturday was just glorious! It was my first visit to this lovely venue which was a dream to flower up. The cute ceremony room leant itself perfectly to an aisle meadow, with those pieces later being reused as the table centrepieces. And that gorgeous suspended light piece in the main barn taking centre stage with its extra blooms 👌
I’m back there later in the year also and cannot wait.
