My busiest year of the most incredible weddings, where I have used more locally grown flowers and foliage than ever before. This year has been my most sustainable yet — really refining how I work, constantly rethinking and improving. And I ran more workshops and floral experiences than I ever have, which I have adored. I’m so so grateful for every couple, customer and class — thank you from the bottom of my heart… you are the reason. And now, onto 2026 🌱 I’m so lucky to be starting an exciting new growing patch (I found the kindest farmers willing to put up with me!), growing some of my own absolute favourites, alongside using the amazing local growers I already work with and finest overseas suppliers where needed. Awww I feel slightly sad but that’s now a wrap on my Christmas wreath workshops for the season and honestly… what a magical few weeks it’s been. Gather some beautiful mixed, textured winter foliage – think eucalyptus, pine and those rich burgundy hawthorn berries. Snips at the ready, and then just start threading your stems in one by one, placing them at different angles so you fill each little space. Keep your textures and colours balanced by scattering them evenly around the vase, and let the arrangement reach up naturally with its own movement and shape. That bit is so important – it’s what makes it feel alive and effortless. And don’t forget to change your water every couple of days to keep everything fresh. I’ve used eucalyptus, pine and those gorgeous burgundy hawthorn berries in mine. If you’d like your own bunch of beautiful wintery foliage, I’ll have plenty with me at Lymm Dickensian Day this Saturday (13th December) at my stall. Autumn abundance 🍂✨ I stole a little time today (amid the half term Halloween madness!) to create this piece from all the seasonal foliage and flora — everything that’s thriving right now. From fading hydrangeas to rich berries, autumn is so full of texture and tone. It’s a great time to snip your hydrangea for drying now too. Just as they are starting to deepen and crisp. Anyone else also obsessed with ferns and bracken this year too? They’ve found their way into so many of my pieces. I love their shape, their texture, and how beautifully they dry. There’s an abundance out there still so take this as your official challenge to create your own autumnal floral piece using only what’s around you right now — it’s such a lovely way to connect with the season 🍁 I used a flower frog to build this piece (ask me if you want to know about these!) They can be a little fiddly but once you get to grips with them they do hold the stems in place and give that lovely, light cascade around the edges. As a wedding florist, I’ve been lucky enough to be part of hundreds of weddings over the years – and along the way, I’ve gathered some of the best nuggets of advice I’d love to share with you 🌿✨ 1. Choose your venue first. It might sound obvious, but it’s worth saying. Visit a few different styles of venues – sometimes the one you least expect will feel just right. And trust me, when you walk into the place that’s meant to be, you’ll just know. 2. Once the venue and date are set, the rest is ready to be secured. Florist, photographer, videographer if you wish, and all the other elements you choose. 3. Choose a colour palette, not a theme. Gone are the days of one-colour weddings. Think more in terms of a spectrum of tones to gently guide the overall feel of your day. Let the season inspire you – spring’s soft pastels, summer’s vibrant brights, autumn’s rich burgundies and golds, or winter’s cool whites and moody contrasts. 4. Keep it true to both of you. Advice will come from every direction – listen, but always circle back to what feels right for you. Your wedding is about the two of you first and foremost, with everyone else there to share in that joy. Collect inspiration (Pinterest is great for that!) but don’t forget: your day is real life, not a filtered image. I physically can’t stop photographing this bunch of elegantly wild blooms. You may have noticed it on my stories but I think it needs to sit on my main grid to look back on in winter. The size of the cosmos is incredible, it must be all the sun this summer. This bunch (which I’m enjoying in my own house for once) smells particularly gorgeous because I’ve laced it with wild radish and mustard flowers. They’re actually a few days old now too but because they were so freshly picked, and I’ve kept the water and vase super clean (change that water daily guys and give the stems a little snip if you have flowers in a vase!) they’ve stayed looking fabulous, even the dahlias. Bright and colourful wedding florals are stunning, but so are timeless whites & greens. And Chloe & Dan’s incredible day at @stockfarmbarn was just made for them, too. Gorgeous delicate garden roses, nigella, delphinium, astilbe, hypericum berries and that pop of navy from the sea holly (thistles) coupled with the soft eucalyptus and foliage was the dream for this relaxed countryside wedding. After a jam-packed, fun-filled half term with my family (birthdays, trips away, non-stop activities!) it is an absolute JOY to get back to all your enquiries today - sincere apologies for the delay though. It’s a tricky balance during school holidays (unless I have pre-booked events in) which I’ve realised I need to manage a little better going forward (instead spending the whole time worrying about it 😂) Anyone else with their own business have any tips for managing this?
